Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information ROOMCOLLE collects, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

01
Who this policy applies to
This Policy applies when you create an account, manage a collection, publish a Showcase, browse public content, use Favorites or COLLEBUD, contact ROOMCOLLE, or otherwise use the service.
ROOMCOLLE is responsible for deciding how personal information submitted directly to the service is used for operating the platform.
02
Information you provide
The information we collect depends on the features you use.
- Account information, including your username, email address, user ID, email-verification status, country or region, and account preferences.
- Profile and Showcase information, including your avatar, Showcase title, biography, and cover image.
- Collection information, including item names, categories, brands, series, conditions, quantities, statuses, descriptions, images, Notes, optional Sources, optional Recommended Values, and owner-only Purchase Prices and Purchase Dates.
- Activity information you intentionally create, including private Favorite saves, COLLEBUD relationships, and account-deletion requests.
- Messages, reports, privacy requests, and other information you submit through a future contact channel.
03
Automatic information, cookies, and browser storage
When you use ROOMCOLLE, our service providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This may include IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, authentication events, error information, and security logs.
ROOMCOLLE stores your selected interface language in your browser and, when you are signed in, in your account settings. Authentication providers may also store authentication state in your browser so that you can remain signed in between visits. These storage uses support core account and interface functions rather than advertising.
ROOMCOLLE may use Cloudflare Turnstile when an account is created or when selected public actions are performed. Turnstile may process technical and interaction information to help distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse.
When advertising is enabled, ROOMCOLLE may use Google AdSense. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies or similar storage and process information such as browser or device data, IP-derived location, ad requests, and ad interactions to serve ads, prevent fraud and abuse, limit ad frequency, measure ad performance, and personalize ads where permitted and where required choices or consent have been obtained. Google advertising cookies may also help serve ads based on visits to ROOMCOLLE and other websites.
For users in regions where Google requires consent management for advertising, ROOMCOLLE intends to use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). The choices shown by that CMP may affect whether personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertising can be served.
04

We use information only where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve ROOMCOLLE.

05
Public information
Your username is your primary public identity on ROOMCOLLE. Public profile information and collection items that are available through public ROOMCOLLE pages may be visible to signed-in users, visitors, search engines, and people who receive a shared link.
A public item page may display its images, item details, Note, owner username, and any optional Source or Recommended Value the owner provides. Favorites are private saves and do not create a public item score.
A public Showcase may display COLLEBUD and Following totals. Signed-in account owners can privately view the profiles they follow and the profiles that follow them; complete relationship lists are not intended to be public.
Purchase Price and Purchase Date remain owner-only records. ROOMCOLLE may hide content from public areas when required for moderation, account lifecycle, security, or legal reasons.
Do not include passwords, payment information, private addresses, identification numbers, or other sensitive information in fields that may become public.
06
Service providers and data transfers
ROOMCOLLE relies on third-party infrastructure providers to operate the service. These providers may process information on our behalf under their own security, privacy, and contractual obligations.
- Google Firebase for account authentication, database storage, access control, and related infrastructure.
- Cloudflare for Turnstile anti-bot checks and R2 storage and delivery of uploaded images when those services are enabled.
- Google AdSense and participating advertising technology providers, when advertising is enabled, for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency controls, measurement, reporting, and personalization where permitted.
- Hosting, domain, security, email, monitoring, or other technical providers added as ROOMCOLLE develops.
07
When information may be disclosed
ROOMCOLLE does not sell your personal information for money.
Information may be disclosed when necessary to operate the service, follow your instructions, enforce our policies, protect ROOMCOLLE or other people, investigate abuse, comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or complete a future transfer of the service.
When advertising is enabled, information may be processed by Google and participating advertising technology providers for the advertising purposes described in this Policy. Some privacy laws may describe certain advertising-related disclosures as sharing, targeted advertising, or similar activity; where applicable, ROOMCOLLE intends to provide the controls required for those users.
If ownership or operation of ROOMCOLLE changes, relevant information may be transferred as part of that change, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
08
Data retention
We retain account and collection information while your account remains active or while it is reasonably necessary to provide the service.
When you delete an item or submit an account-deletion request, deletion may not occur immediately. Information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, legal records, or records needed to investigate an incident or resolve a dispute.
Security and abuse-prevention records, including rate-limit and incident records, may be retained as reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate incidents, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
When advertising is enabled, Google and participating advertising providers may retain advertising data according to their own policies, legal requirements, and the choices available to users.
Public information copied, exported, indexed, cached, or shared by other people may remain outside ROOMCOLLE after it is removed from the service.
09
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authentication, access-control rules, server-side credential handling, encrypted connections, and restricted storage access.
No online service can guarantee complete security or permanent storage. You are responsible for protecting your password, email account, devices, and original copies of important collection information and images.
Please report suspected unauthorized access or security problems through the ROOMCOLLE contact channel when it becomes available.
10
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, export of, restriction of, objection to, or deletion of certain personal information.
You can directly manage many settings and records inside ROOMCOLLE, including optional public item details, profile information, collection records, Favorites, COLLEBUD relationships, CSV export, and account-deletion requests.
When Google advertising and a consent message are enabled for your region, you may be able to manage or revoke advertising choices through the privacy and cookie controls presented on ROOMCOLLE. You may also manage Google ad-personalization choices through Google Ads Settings.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some requests may be limited where retention or processing is required or permitted by law.
11
Children
ROOMCOLLE is not designed to knowingly collect sensitive personal information from children. A person who is not legally able to agree to these policies should use the service only with authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact ROOMCOLLE so the matter can be reviewed.
12
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when ROOMCOLLE features, service providers, security practices, or legal requirements change.
The latest update date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service before taking effect.
13
Contact
ROOMCOLLE does not yet provide a general contact channel. Reports about public items or profiles can be submitted with the Report control. Contact instructions for privacy and legal requests will appear here when a channel becomes available.
